RIJS People Graduate Student Associates
The Reischauer Institute is surrounded by an extensive community of scholars which prominently includes graduate students enrolled in a number of departments and programs. Space in the Center for Government and International Studies (CGIS) Building makes it possible for the Reischauer Institute and Asia Center to provide carrels or other space to a small number of Harvard doctoral students completing their dissertations. This development offers an important new way of bringing advanced graduate students more fully into the Japanese studies research community. For 2012-13, six students were designated as Graduate Student Associates in Residence:
Jakobina Arch, Ph.D. candidate in Japanese History, Dept. of East Asian Languages and Civilizations
Hansun Hsiung, Ph.D. candidate in Japanese History, Dept. of East Asian Languages and Civilizations
Shi-Lin Loh, Ph.D. candidate in Japanese History, Dept. of East Asian Languages and Civilizations
Esra-Gokce Sahin, Ph.D. candidate in Anthropology, Dept. of Anthropology
Yuki Takagi, Ph.D. candidate in Government, Dept. of Government
Kristin Williams, Ph.D. candidate in Japanese Literature, Dept. of East Asian Languages and Civilizations
