Graduate Student Associates

The Edwin O. Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies (RI) is surrounded by an extensive community of scholars which prominently includes graduate students enrolled in a number of departments and programs. Space in the Center for Government and International Studies (CGIS) Building makes it possible for the RI and the other Asia-related centers to provide carrels or other space to a small number of Harvard doctoral students completing their dissertations. This development offers an important new way of bringing advanced graduate students more fully into the Japanese studies research community. Here are the Graduate Student Associates in Residence for 2017-18:

Ryan Glasnovich, Ph.D. candidate in Premodern Japanese History, Dept. of East Asian Languages & Civilizations
Yusung Kim, Ph.D. candidate in East Asian/Arts/Film/Cultural Studies, Dept. of East Asian Languages & Civilizations
