MASARU MITO

Masaru Mito joined the Japanese Language Program at Harvard in 2015. He teaches Intermediate Japanese I (120a), Advanced Modern Japanese (140b), and Readings and Discussion in Japanese Social Science (150b). He received his B.A. in Japanese Language and Culture from the University of Tsukuba and M.A. in Japanese Linguistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research interests include linguistics, pedagogy, pragmatics, and second language acquisition. Before coming to Harvard, he taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Kanda University of International Studies, and Kanagawa University, as well as a language academy in Okayama, Japan.
