Women of Color: Working Beyond the Margins and the Japan Caucus of the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) presents: "The Ones Left Behind: The Plight of Single Mothers in Japan." This film screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the director and two Japanese guests - one HKS alumna who is running for office with a platform including support for families/moms, and another guest who has a research institute focused on this topic and related social issues. The film features many interviews in Japanese and includes thought-provoking perspectives about Japan.
