FOR 2018-19 JAPAN FORUM TALKS, SEE EVENTS.

Established in 1974 in response to growing interest in Japanese studies at Harvard, the Japan Forum lecture series provides scholars from a variety of fields and disciplines with an opportunity to present their research before a diverse audience that includes faculty, students, fellow scholars, and the general public. Assembling each Friday afternoon throughout the academic year, each forum is hosted by a Harvard faculty member and is followed by a reception at which attendees have an opportunity to interact with the speaker and with each other.

Since 1974, RIJS has sponsored more than 775 Japan Forum presentations. Please click below for a list of past speakers and talk titles.
