Adam J. Lyons, former Postdoctoral Fellow, awarded American Academy of Religion's Best First Book Prize

The Reischauer Institute congratulates Adam J. Lyons (Université de Montréal) on being awarded the Best First Book in the History of Religions by the American Academy of Religion for his monograph Karma and Punishment: Prison Chaplaincy in Japan (Harvard University Press, 2021). Currently an RIJS Associate in Research, Dr. Lyons was an RIJS Postdoctoral Fellow from 2017-18 after earning his PhD from Harvard in 2017.
