Professor Karen L. Thornber appointed Reischauer Institute Acting Director, Fall 2020
Professor Karen L. Thornber, Harry Tuchman Levin Professor in Literature and Professor of East Asian Languages and Civilizations, will serve as the Acting Director of the Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies during Fall Term 2020. Professor Thornber has previously served as Victor and William Fung Director of the Harvard University Asia Center, Chair of the Department of Comparative Literature, Chair of Regional Studies East Asia, and Director of Graduate Studies for both Comparative Literature and Regional Studies East Asia.
