RIJS Google Arts & Culture Featured in Kahoku Shimpo
The Reischauer Institute's Google Arts and Culture page was recently featured in the Kahoku Shimpo, a local newspaper based in Sendai, one of the areas most heavily impacted by the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. The article, in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of March 11, 2011, drew from stories shared by former Harvard students who volunteered in the Tohoku region, as well as experiences and photo collections from Mr. Alan Butler, whose father was stationed in the region as a medical doctor in 1951.
