Standing in Solidarity with Asian and AAPI Communities

The Edwin O. Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies, alongside other Harvard Asia-related departments, institutes, and centers, stands in solidarity with the Asian and AAPI communities in condemning violence and harassment wherever they are taking place. Sadly, these recent incidents are part of a long history of scapegoating and discrimination against foreign and immigrant communities. As such, we denounce them along with other racial injustices wherever and whenever they occur.

The Reischauer Institute reaffirms its unambiguous commitment to the policy and practice of zero tolerance of discrimination and harassment based on gender, race, ethnicity, religion, and sexual orientation.
