Subodhana Wijeyeratne (PhD Candidate in History) Published in Asia-Pacific Journal, Japan Focus

Subodhana Wijeyeratne, PhD Candidate in the Department of History, has recently published an article titled "A Race to War: Japanese Public Intellectuals and Racial Explanations of the Russo-Japanese War" in The Asia-Pacific Journal, Japan Focus. His research specializes in the history of science and technology in East Asia, and his paper "Death Rays to Diesel Engines, Technology Seizure and Collaboration in Occupied Japan, 1945-1952" was awarded the Graduate Noma-Reischauer Prize in Japanese Studies in 2017. He currently serves as an editorial intern on the Asia-Pacific Journal.
