Tohoku University Vice-President Masahiro Yamaguchi congratulates Harvard President Claudine Gay at inauguration reception

On September 28, the Harvard University Marshal's Office and Office of the Vice Provost for International Affairs hosted a reception for international university presidents and diplomats in celebration of the inauguration of Harvard President Claudine Gay. Pictured below, Tohoku University Vice-President Masahiro Yamaguchi shakes hands with President Gay. At the reception, President Gay reiterated the critical role that international partnerships and collaboration play in the advancement research and learning. Delegations from Tohoku University, Tokyo University, and Keio University as well as the Consul General of Japan in Boston were among the distinguished guests who met President Gay and took part in her installment ceremony on Friday, September 29 at Tercentenary Theatre, in the heart of Harvard Yard.
