Toshiko Mori awarded Gold Medal for Architecture from the American Academy of Arts and Letters
Toshiko Mori, Robert P. Hubbard Professor in the Practice of Architecture at Harvard Graduate School of Design, and the founding principal of Toshiko Mori Architect, has been awarded the 2026 Gold Medal for Architecture by the American Academy of Arts and Letters. The award recognizes a body of work that has had a lasting impact on the field of architecture. Prof. Mori is the first woman to receive the Gold Medal since its establishment in 1981.
