2023 Noma-Reischauer Prizes in Japanese Studies

Established by Kodansha Publishers in 1995 and named in honor of Edwin O. Reischauer, the Noma-Reischauer Prizes in Japanese Studies are given annually to the best essays on Japan-related topics written by a Harvard undergraduate and graduate student. In early December 2023, the Reischauer Institute will award the following two individuals at the annual ceremony and reception held at the Japanese Language Program on 5 Bryant Street.

Asahi Shimbun features Shinju Fujihira, Executive Director of WCFIA US-Japan Program

The Asahi Shimbun, a prominent news source in Japan, has recently published an article about Shinju Fujihira, Executive Director of the Program on US-Japan Relations (USJP), Weatherhead Center for International Affairs. Once a USJP Postdoctoral Fellow, Dr. Fujihira is currently a Mansfield Foundation Network for the Future Fellow, working to advance social science research on Japan and promote Japan-US educational exchanges.
